Various entities have produced sawtimber in Vara for more than 100 years. Vara Saeveski OÜ began their operations in Vara in 2000.

Our core business is producing sawtimber from softwood timber for use in the construction, furniture and timber industries in Estonia and abroad.

Natural AS is a family owned business founded in the early 1990s, which soon became one of the leading sawmills in Estonia. We focus on the production of Nordic softwood (spruce – Picea Abies, pine – Pinus Sylvestris). Our production stages include sorting, drying, planing, strength grading, impregnation (green and brown) and optimising of timber. Since 2016, we have also launched a roof truss production at our plant, which serves the local market and neighbouring markets. From 2020, we have been also engaged in the industrial painting of wood. AS Natural is an export-oriented timber industry based on Estonian capital. CLTEST OÜ is a rapidly growing cross-laminated timber (CLT) manufacturing company that is based in Estonia. The company primarily focuses on construction solutions that are energy-efficient and CO2 binding. CLT is being used more and more in the construction industry. It is a new and innovative material that is seeing more use around the globe as it offers a lot of architectural solutions.

There are approximately one million horses in France. We produce loose-boxes and a broad range of gates from spruce, pine, oak and tropical wood. We have had a lot of success in the Benelux countries (a little over one million horses) with this particular product group.
In addition, we offer planed profile materials, processed glulam beams, shelters and garden sheds to target markets.
The company has supplied a number of international equestrian events with the necessary materials to assemble everything from bridges to enclosures. The last event was the European Championship Four-In-Hand Budapest 2021, in which all the timber was supplied by us.
