Estonian companies together wih Estonian Business and Innovation Agengy are participating at the world’s leading international maritime trade fair SMM 2022 which is taking place in Hamburg from 6-9 September 2022.
This year, the focus is on the transition to green energy, digitalization and climate change in the maritime sector. “This is an excellent opportunity for Estonian companies to introduce their new products, familiarize themselves with the trends and developments of the maritime industry, and make new contacts,” emphasized Leana Kammertöns, export advisor at the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency.
According to Argo Sildvee, the founder and manager of the Estonian Marine and Manufacturing Initiative, the national joint stand shows our current and future customers that we are reliable partners. “At SMM we are extremely proud to showcase the latest capabilities and technologies to the world’s maritime market Estonia has to offer,” said Sildvee.
Insta Globe Engineering will present its digital electricity monitoring service at the fair. “Our software solution digitizes the electrical installation, control and commissioning processes in the marine and offshore industry,” explained the company’s CEO, Ivo Pukk.
According to him, the purpose of participating in the fair is to find new export channels, meet key customers and increase brand awareness.
The Estonian ship and machine building company Proforce Industry has previously found profitable contracts at the same fair in 2018. „By continuing to work with the contacts from SMM in 2018, we later turned them into orders,” said Madis Kollo, CEO of Proforce Industry.
He added that it is easier to get more attention on a national stand than on a small stand.
Estonian joint stand will be attended by: Gettone Goup, Marmi Futerno, DECK Marine Systems, Pentamet, Shore Link, Proforce Industry, Insta Globe Engineering, Adretec Estonia and Estonian Marine and Manufacturing Initiative as a cooperation partner.
