Enterprise Estonia will be taking Estonian companies to the international defence industry fair IDEX 2021, which will take place on 21-25. until February 2021 in Abu Dhabi. IDEX is one of the largest and most strategically important trade fairs in the field of defence and arms industry in the world. In 2019, 1,300 exhibitors, more than 70,000 visitors and 175 official delegations from more than 60 countries took part in the fair.
IDEX is the only international defence exhibition and conference in the MENA region demonstrating the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defence. It is a unique platform to establish and strengthen relationships with government departments, businesses and armed forces throughout the region.
Today Estonian Defence Industry Association covers almost all the defence, space and security related industries in Estonia with over 100 member companies. The mission of the Estonian Defence Industry Association is to create better opportunities for its member companies on the markets of goods and services for defence & security purposes and to contribute thereby to increase the defence & security capability and economic development of Estonia.
Estonian defence industry companies have proven that we are competitive technology partners in European cooperation projects. Cooperation between the state and companies has worked excellently within the framework of the European Defence Fund and has made it possible to have a say in the development of European defence capabilities at the highest level. We must maintain this level of cooperation and ambition, and also have a say in the development of important capabilities in the future or even lead them.
