Global technology powerhouse Amazon has officially opened an office in Tallinn to strengthen its regional presence and deepen its commitment to Estonia. The new office will host Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Amazon Music teams.
Amazon Web Services, the world’s most comprehensive and widely adopted cloud platform, established its Estonian subsidiary in 2023. With the opening of its new Tallinn office, AWS aims to support customers across the Baltics.
“Amazon’s decision to open an office in Estonia once again confirms that our open and innovative business environment is attractive to international technology companies.”
Erkki Keldo, Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and Industry
According to Amazon, the company is investing in Estonia due to the country’s strong potential. As more organisations move their mission-critical applications to the AWS Cloud, the company’s customer base in Estonia continues to grow.
Amazon expands in Estonia with new Tallinn office
“We have had the privilege of working closely with Estonian customers and partners for many years, supporting their innovation and digital transformation journeys. The opening of Amazon’s new office in Tallinn is an exciting milestone that deepens our commitment to Estonia,” said Kellen O’Connor, Managing Director for Northern Europe at AWS.

“With a stronger local presence, we look forward to helping even more Estonian organisations accelerate their adoption of artificial intelligence and cloud technologies and build cutting-edge, world-class solutions on the AWS platform,” added O’Connor.
From a strategic perspective, this is an important step for Estonia — one of the world’s most recognised companies expanding its operations here. The Estonian government has supported AWS throughout the process, particularly through the Foreign Investment Centre of the Enterprise Estonia (EIS).
“We are pleased to support AWS in expanding its operations in Estonia. This is yet another example of the strategic investments Amazon is making across Europe — from creating new highly skilled jobs to launching AWS’s independent European cloud service.”
Robert Lang, Head of Investor Services at Enterprise Estonia
