Estonian company Bamboo Apps, which offers design and software development for automotive and mobility companies, received a grant from the European Union to support the development of a new digital product, IVO (In-Vehicle Onboarding application).

The project aims to increase the vehicle’s usage efficiency and use driver assistance to promote its smart functionality.

Bamboo Apps passed all the checks for compliance with the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology’s regulation on supporting entrepreneurial product development. This gave the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency a strong base to award Bamboo Apps the grant of €305,427.15.

Bamboo developes an in-vehicle infotainment application

The product development will result in the release of IVO, an in-vehicle infotainment application with a smart voice assistant, and a mobile app. The infotainment app will be made in the form of a smart onboarding system for the driver and will give drivers with real-time relevant suggestions and recommendations. The mobile application will provide a complex augmented reality (AR) tour to allow the driver to learn about the vehicle’s controls and units.

The IVO project is a result of experience gained from working with the giants in the automotive industry like Jaguar Land Rover, Rinspeed, Mitsubishi Electric, Škoda, and others.

The target audience of IVO is original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), dealerships, rental and car sharing companies, and commercial vehicles.
