Estonian defence technology company Defsecintel and Estonian-Ukrainian company DoD Solution are combining their systems to develop integrated counter-drone capabilities for defence, border security and critical-infrastructure protection.
The companies announced the cooperation at MSPO 2026 in Poland. In its press release, DoD Solution said the work will combine Defsecintel’s EIRSHIELD counter-UAS platform with DoD Solution’s AURA AI autonomy platform.
The partnership links an Estonian system for multi-layer drone detection and command-and-control with an Estonian-Ukrainian platform for autonomous navigation and mission execution. The companies plan to test and demonstrate joint solutions in Estonia, Ukraine and other European countries.
Combining detection with autonomous response
Defsecintel’s EIRSHIELD provides multi-layer detection, AI-assisted command-and-control, and system integration. The Defsecintel platform is designed to connect sensors, command software, and various effectors in an open architecture, rather than limiting an end user to a single configuration.
DoD Solution will contribute its AURA SBC onboard computer and AURA AI autonomy platform for unmanned systems. The company says the technology supports visual navigation, target recognition, tracking, last-mile targeting and mission autonomy, including in GPS-denied or communication-constrained environments.
Defsecintel describes EIRSHIELD as a deployable system for defence, border security and critical infrastructure protection. Its architecture can combine radar, radio-frequency, electro-optical and infrared, and acoustic sensors with AI-assisted C2 and multiple effectors. The company says the system has been shaped by operational experience in Ukraine and validated through NATO C-UAS exercises.
The companies’ stated plan is to move from complementary components toward joint testing and demonstrations, with potential future participation in relevant tenders and programmes across Europe.
Developing systems for more than military sites
The companies will explore uses beyond traditional military environments, including critical infrastructure protection, public safety, border protection and incident response. Those applications can require controlled interception and careful management of collateral effects, particularly in urban or sensitive areas.
Roman Hapachylo, CEO of DoD Solution, said Ukraine’s experience showed the need for an integrated, multi-layer approach to drone defence. “By combining Defsecintel’s detection and command-and-control capabilities with our onboard autonomy technologies, we can build more effective systems for detecting and intercepting drones and bring this experience to the growing security challenges facing Europe,” he added. Jaanus Tamm, CEO of Defsecintel, said the companies would work to integrate, test and deploy new technologies more quickly.
