Silen, Estonian leading office pod company, opened a showroom in Chicago. Silen is the first Estonian furnishing company with its own showroom in North America.

“The USA is Silen‘s largest market, and opening a showroom in the leading design center in Chicago increases our visibility in North America. Thus, we confirm Silen’s position among the world’s leading companies engaged in the design and production of office pods and privacy solutions”, said Endrus Arge, CEO of Silen.

The showroom is located on the tenth floor of the Merchandise Mart (The Mart), built in the 1930s, and covers a space of 250 square meters. Brands such as Andreu World, Bosch, Gaggenau, Miele, Poggenpohl, etc., as well as the world’s largest office furniture manufacturer Steelcase have their showrooms in the same building.

“We are thrilled to witness Silen’s historic achievement as the first Estonian furnishing manufacturer to establish a permanent showroom at The Mart in Chicago. This milestone not only highlights Silen’s innovative contributions to modern workplace design but also underscores the global appeal and quality of Estonian craftsmanship,” said Indrek Laul, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Estonia.

“Silen’s commitment to fostering focus and productivity, core values deeply rooted in our culture, has resonated with Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Silen’s success story is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit and excellence that define Estonian businesses. We look forward to seeing Silen’s continued growth and impact in the USA and beyond,” added Laul.

Last week Silen also introduced its new product Bridges Mobile in Chicago at North America’s largest furnishing exhibition NeoCon 2024. It is a space divider on wheels, the prototype of which was on display at NeoCon for the first time. At the exhibition, Silen also introduced Silen Chatbox’s newest quiet space Solo for individual use. At NeoCon, the company will also launch a new generation of Silen Space, its premium product family.

Silen, a company that designs and manufactures office pods for business customers, currently sells soundproof and noise-proof meeting and telephone rooms in 60 countries. Silen’s largest market is the USA, and the company is widely represented in Europe, Asia and elsewhere. In 2023, Silen was awarded the title of the Exporter of the Year in Estonia. At the end of the first quarter of 2024, 56 people worked in the company.

Silen’s customers include several large global companies that use meeting pods in their offices and production units. Silen works with many Fortune 500 companies such as Amazon, Coca-Cola, Dell, Lego, Siemens and others. Silen OÜ was founded in 2018 by Endrus Arge, Sparry Kivilo and Henri Rüüsak.
