Estonian power-distribution manufacturer Harju Elekter has secured a €15.5M contract with Siemens for E-House systems for a Finnish data-centre project.
According to Äripäev and the company’s Nasdaq company announcement, AS Harju Elekter signed the agreement with Siemens Nederland N.V, the Dutch subsidiary of Siemens AG. The contract is expected to run for 17 months and covers engineering and manufacturing work for the power-distribution package of a data centre being built in Finland.
Harju Elekter supplies electrical power-distribution solutions for utilities, industry, infrastructure and building projects. Its Keila factory in Estonia produces E-Houses, compact secondary substations, outdoor distribution cabinets and low-voltage cabinets.
E-House systems move assembly and testing off site
Harju Elekter described an E-House as a factory-built modular technical building designed to house and protect power distribution and control systems. In data-centre construction, that means switchgear and related electrical equipment can be assembled, integrated and tested before shipment instead of being built up piece by piece on site.
That format is widely used on projects with tight commissioning schedules. Modular power rooms reduce the amount of electrical integration left for the construction site and can speed up installation once the equipment arrives.
Finland contract follows Sweden order
Harju Elekter has already booked other Nordic power-distribution work. A separate agreement in Sweden, covered here, called for substations to be produced in Estonia under a framework deal worth nearly €15M.
The Finnish contract comes after a year in which Harju Elekter said sales growth was driven mainly by its Estonian and Lithuanian units. In a June update on its 2025 results, the company said demand at its Estonian plant had grown enough to trigger a planned 4,000 m² factory expansion.
Dutch customer, Finnish project, Estonian factory base
The order spans several markets. Siemens Nederland is the contracting party, the end project is in Finland and the engineering and manufacturing work is being handled from Harju Elekter’s Estonian base alongside the group’s operations in Finland, Sweden and Lithuania.
Harju Elekter said the group employs around 840 people across those four markets and generated €174M in revenue in 2025.
