Nõo Lihatööstus (Nõo Meat Factory) is expanding its production facility to enhance production capacity and support export growth. The total cost of the construction work and new equipment is nearly one million euros.
The company is expanding its production area by approximately 200 square meters. Currently, the meat industry operates on a total area of 10,000 square meters.
“Our objective is not only to boost production volume but also to enhance efficiency through increased automation with this investment,” said Ragnar Loova, CEO of Nõo Lihatööstus.
Introducing new equipment will expand the range of products and allow the company to contribute even more to exports. Special emphasis will be placed on ensuring food safety with the new equipment when furnishing the premises.
Nõo Lihatööstus invests despite difficult economic conditions
“Investing in difficult economic conditions has been a strategic choice for Nõo Lihatööstus for years to maintain and increase the company’s competitiveness. We are doing this even now when the Estonian economy is not doing well,” explained Loova.
The company is Estonia’s domestic meat industry and has been awarded the title of the best family business. With over 200 employees, the company is one of the most important employers in Estonia. Nõo Lihatööstus offers a diverse range of over 400 meat products.
