Estonian IT company Nortal acquired U.S.-based technology solutions provider Nearsure, enhancing its presence in the Americas and leveraging Latin American talent for global growth and innovative solutions.

“There is a strong natural fit between the two companies’ shared values of client centricity, as well as our additive capabilities,” said Priit Alamäe, founder and CEO of Nortal.

Founded in 2018, Nearsure’s expertise includes enterprise solutions, low-code and SaaS development, AI-driven digital transformation and consulting, custom software development, and staff augmentation. The company’s partners include Adobe, Microsoft, Salesforce and ServiceNow.

Nortal´s largest acquisition to boost U.S. presence

“This is the largest acquisition in our history, and it will significantly bolster our presence in the U.S., while providing a platform for growth and global expansion,” added Alamäe.

Nearsure has a customer base in the US and more than 600 employees in more than 18 Latin American countries. The merger will increase Nortal’s workforce to more than 2,700 people.

Alamäe added that Nearsure complements their existing offerings by bringing in strong expertise in enterprise platform solutions and low-code development.

The companies´ joint strategy for the Americas is to leverage Nortal’s strong U.S. presence to enhance client relationships and engagement, while relying on Nearsure’s outstanding talent from Latin America and innovative solutions to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery in nearshore time zones across the U.S.

Nearsure will rebrand in 2025

“Nearsure has always believed talent knows no borders – and with Nortal’s global scale, we can now prove it,” said Giuliana Corbo, CEO of Nearsure. “This isn’t just a merger. It is a launchpad for a new era for us. By combining AI-led delivery with human ingenuity, we’ll be better equipped to respond to our clients’ evolving needs and toughest business challenges together,” added Corbo.

In the U.S., the focus will be on expanding within healthcare, education, utilities and energy, manufacturing, automotive, telecommunications, media and entertainment, financial services, retail, and hospitality. There is also a significant opportunity to leverage 25 years of government digitalisation experience in the U.S. market.

Nearsure will merge with the U.S. operations and rebrand in 2025. The management teams in the U.S. and Latin America will be merged to create the foundation for Nortal’s expansion.
