Parcelsea, a developer of smart mailboxes for private homes and parcel lockers for suburban communities, has sold its business to their partner Jetbeep. As a result of the transaction, Jetbeep will acquire the company’s intellectual property and customer contracts.
Parcelsea was founded in autumn 2020. The company’s core mission was to make online shopping more convenient for the e-consumers. “While the average Estonian used to order all their goods to parcel machines in shopping malls, then with Parcelsea’s solution, they can now order goods to their home at the same price. There is no need to drive far to pick up a parcel”, says Tanel Raun, co-founder of Parcelsea.
“We have been using Jetbeep electronics in our community parcel lockers for over a year now. It was a logical step for us to join forces so that we can grow faster together.”

In 2023, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed with Omniva. Together, they developed a new product – community locker, designed to serve residents that live more than 2 km from the closest post office or parcel machine. “The collaboration to scale the community locker network will continue with Jetbeep”, says Tanel Raun.
“We have been using Jetbeep electronics in our community parcel lockers for over a year now. It was a logical step for us to join forces so that we can grow faster together. In addition, Jetbeep was interested in Parcelsea’s experience and expertise in building Close-To-Home parcel locker networks.” co-founder Andres Sampka explains the reasons for the sale. The company´s team will also join Jetbeep. Together, they will continue to develop Close-To-Home parcel locker networks in Europe and potentially in other regions.

“As we continue to expand our open network, this acquisition is a crucial milestone, directly addressing key hardware challenges. The Community Locker developed by Parselsea offers a unique and innovative design solution, striking the perfect balance between proximity to the customer and operational efficiency for carriers,” said Valery Chekalkin, the co-founder of Jetbeep.
“We believe this gives us a significant competitive edge and brings us much closer to achieving our strategic goals. Additionally, we’re thrilled about the strategic partnership with Omniva, which further strengthens our position in the market” added Valery Chekalkin.
Parcelsea has raised €1.6 million. The company’s largest shareholders are venture capital funds Superangel, United Angels and Depo Ventures. In addition, several business angels such as Taavi Kotka, Triin Hertmann, Alvar Lumberg, Kristjan Vilosius and others have invested in the company. The transaction amounts will not be disclosed.
