SRC has welcomed SLR Synergies as a strategic investor to strengthen the two companies’ positions in the maritime industry and enhance their global reach.
Specializing in ship retrofits, refits, and innovative maritime technologies, SRC is already well established in Europe. The agreement marks a step forward for the company as it seeks to establish a stronger presence in Asia – a key region for maritime growth. Meanwhile, Singapore-based SLR Synergies, which provides engineering services for the offshore marine sector, will use its investment to broaden its reach in Europe.
“We are thrilled to welcome SLR Synergies as a strategic investor,” said Hannes Lilp, CEO of SRC Group. “Their expertise in marine and offshore engineering, coupled with their strong foothold in the Asia-Pacific region, makes them an invaluable partner in driving our shared vision for innovation and sustainable growth.”
The companies deliver solutions for vessel compliance with environmental regulations
Highlighting the increasing importance of collaborative innovation, the partnership is expected to facilitate the exchange of expertise and open up new opportunities for SRC and SLR in their respective target markets by combining the two companies’ complementary strengths. SRC’s expertise in retrofits and alternative fuel solutions is a natural fit with SLR’s extensive engineering capabilities and proven track record in delivering complex vessel repair projects. Together, the companies will offer a more comprehensive suite of services, addressing the growing demand for efficient and sustainable solutions from customers in the maritime industry.
“SRC Group has an outstanding track record in delivering innovative solutions for the maritime industry. By working together, we can combine our strengths to address our customers’ evolving needs and expand into new markets.”
Ray Ng Hee Hock, CEO of SLR Synergies
One area of focus will be promoting innovative technologies developed by SRC such as the Remote Fairlead Locking System, which enhances the safety and cost efficiency of the anchoring process for offshore semi-submersibles, and Methanol Superstorage – a novel solution for methanol storage in maritime that replaces traditional cofferdams with a 25-mm SPS barrier.
However, the partnership extends far beyond individual products. By leveraging SLR’s in-depth engineering knowledge and SRC’s innovative systems, the companies aim to provide high-value solutions that enable vessels to comply with evolving environmental regulations.
SRC and SLR Synergies collaboration supports maritime decarbonization
Ray Ng Hee Hock, CEO of SLR Synergies, commented on the partnership’s potential: “SRC Group has an outstanding track record in delivering innovative solutions for the maritime industry. By working together, we can combine our strengths to address our customers’ evolving needs and expand into new markets.”
The strategic collaboration is expected to deliver mutual benefits, enhancing both companies’ ability to meet evolving industry demands and support maritime decarbonization.
