Estonian building-automation company Bisly has signed a five-year, $28.7M agreement with New York distributor and integrator International Building Intelligence Solutions LLC to bring its solutions to the United States.
The partnership is Bisly’s largest outside Europe, according to the company’s official announcement. The agreement was also reported by Äritehnoloogia. It will make Bisly’s building-automation hardware and software available to US customers through IBIS, which will handle sales and installation in the market.
Bisly brings a digital-twin system to the US
Bisly combines heating and ventilation controls, room sensors for temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide and presence, and lighting in one system. Its deployment toolchain is built around a digital twin of the building, giving installers a digital representation of the systems before the physical automation is deployed.
The company says the approach makes building automation simpler and cheaper to install. It already operates in more than 6,000 homes and across more than 10 million square feet of floor space in Europe.
Targeting residential and mixed-use buildings
Bisly is focusing on residential and mixed-use buildings in the United States and Europe. The company says larger automation vendors tend to concentrate on towers and Class A offices, leaving many smaller buildings without an economical route to integrated automation. Bisly’s system is designed to bring heating, ventilation, lighting and indoor-environment data into one platform while reducing the engineering work required for each individual building.
Ants Vill, chief executive officer, said the digital twin and deployment tools that helped the company grow in Europe are ready for the US market. IBIS is owned by Bernhard Boennemann and Jay Govender and operates in New York State.
Keeping technology development in Tallinn
While the US partner will manage local sales and installation, Bisly will continue product and technology development in Tallinn. Bisly sells through partners in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland and the DACH region, and has also worked with ABB since spring 2026. The company is extending that partner-led model into the United States while keeping its technology base in Estonia.
