Strengthening its presence in the U.S. market, Estonian autonomous vehicle company Auve Tech has signed a new distribution agreement with Guident Inc., a leading North American provider of teleoperation and remote monitoring technology for driverless vehicles.
The contract, signed during the ITS World Congress in Atlanta by Auve Tech’s Johannes Mossov and Guident’s Harald Braun, marks the next stage in their partnership to accelerate autonomous transportation in the United States.
“Our role is not only to export vehicles and transport people, but to prove to the world that Europe is among the world’s top competitors in the field of autonomy and artificial intelligence.”
Kaarel Variksaar, Chairman of the Management Board of Auve Tech
Together, the companies are developing solutions that make it possible to remove the onboard safety driver, paving the way for fully driverless operations and positioning Auve Tech at the forefront of next-generation transportation.
Auve Tech’s MiCa hits Florida streets
“The US market is a big leap for every European technology company,” said Kaarel Variksaar, Chairman of the Management Board of Auve Tech, commenting on the distribution agreement. “Our role is not only to export vehicles and transport people, but to prove to the world that Europe is among the world’s top competitors in the field of autonomy and artificial intelligence,” Variksar added.
Auve Tech is a 100% Estonian-owned company developing Level 4 autonomous vehicles to reduce dependence on private cars. Their MiCa is an 8-seater autonomous vehicle developed and manufactured in Estonia.
Auve Tech’s MiCa shuttle is already on the ground in Florida, transporting passengers between the West Palm Beach train station and the city’s main street. With U.S. license plates and approval to drive autonomously on public roads, MiCa is also set to begin service in Boca Raton this October.
The 2025 Estonian delegation at ITS Atlanta featured AuveTech (autonomous shuttles), Mooncascade and Concise Systems (smart mobility software and data solutions), Wisercat (secure, connected infrastructure) and Entringo (smart parking and yard management), Mobire Group (EV fleet services), and Parkinglot Category (intelligent parking management)—each showcasing technologies designed to address the most pressing mobility challenges facing U.S. cities.
