Estonia aims for 100% renewable energy by 2030, focusing on creating the world’s first nationwide “hydrogen valley” hub. Solar and wind energy are also crucial. Estonian firm Sunly has secured €300 million to boost wind, solar, and energy storage projects in Poland and the Baltic states, reducing reliance on Russian gas, reported the US news site Clean Technica.

The Baltic nation of Estonia has launched an ambitious 100% renewable energy goal for 2030. As part of that goal, energy industry stakeholders plan to showcase the entire country as the world’s first nationwide, integrated “hydrogen valley” hub, with a focus on green hydrogen, reported Clean Technica.

Renewable energy investors to US politicians: la-la-la-la

Certain US politicians have been blowing a lot of hot air against renewable energy investing, but the hits just keep on coming. The latest example is the Estonian firm Sunly, which has just nailed down a megadeal of €300 million in debt financing to rush new wind, solar, and energy storage facilities into Poland and the Baltic states. The new round of financing is aimed at helping Europe cut its dependence on natural gas from Russia, reported Clean Technica.

Autonomous robotaxis – the good, the bad, and the better … and Texas

The US state of Texas is known for its deep roots in the fossil energy industry, but its business friendly environment is attracting a torrent of cleantech startups aiming to decarbonize the global economy. That includes the Estonian firm Clevon, which tapped the Texas city of Northlake to showcase a multi-vehicle fleet of autonomous cargo delivery EVs, leading to full scale-up into people-ferrying robotaxis, reported Clean Technica.
