Estonian energy solutions are going global. Energy company Enefit has opened a 45-megawatt solar park in Poland, its largest renewable-energy production project in that market.

The Strzałkowo facility is expected to generate about 45 gigawatt-hours of renewable electricity a year, Ehitusuudised reports. The opening marks the completion of a project that Enefit Green approved in March 2025.

Enefit’s new renewables portfolio

Enefit Green’s investment decision put the cost of the Strzałkowo project at approximately €26M. The company said at the time that 75% of the expected production would be covered by a 15-year indexed contract for difference.

Strzałkowo adds new solar-generation capacity to company’s Polish portfolio and increases the its renewable production in a market where it has been developing wind and solar assets.

The project is part of the wider renewable-energy business of Eesti Energia, which operates under the Enefit brand outside Estonia. Its international business includes renewable-energy generation and electricity sales.

Meanwhile, other Estonian energy companies are also tapping foreign markets for partnerships and expansion. Recently, DeepTech startup Gridraven has sold its solution to Finland and has set sights to the US. The company uses machine learning and LiDAR terrain maps to predict exactly how much electricity a power line can safely carry. And Estonian energy startup MarkeDroid has entered the Swedish flexibility market.
