Estonian company Estiko-Plastar signed an agreement to acquire the innovative Polish packaging manufacturer Sefko. Both Estiko-Plastar and Sefko are well-known players in the packaging market, offering a wide range of sustainable packaging solutions for the food and other industries worldwide.
“Sefko’s product portfolio perfectly complements Estiko’s current production capacity and our ability to meet diverse customer needs. With 25 years of experience, Sefko has a wealth of expertise in manufacturing various pouches and doybags, so we see great potential in combining our knowledge to continue a successful journey together,” said Meelis Jürgens, CEO of Estiko-Plastar.
Estiko-Plastar’s turnover last year was 42 million euros and profit was 4.5 million euros.
“This is a great opportunity to expand our international packaging solutions portfolio. We are pleased to welcome Sefko and the company’s customers and employees to the Estiko Group,” added Neinar Seli, Chairman of the Estiko Group.
The acquisation will benefit customers
Sefko owners Sławomir Buszta and Sylwester Buszta agree that merging with Estiko is the right step to ensure the success of the company, its employees, and its customers. “Considering the established positions of Estiko and Sefko in providing customer-centric packaging solutions, we are confident that this synergy will take us to new heights in the packaging industry and increase the value we offer to our customers,” said the current owners.
After the transaction is completed, Estiko-Plastar will acquire 100% of Sefko’s shares. The parties do not disclose the transaction amount. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
