Estonian-made home robots are quietly conquering the U.S. market. Schbot Robotics has officially begun delivering its autonomous cleaning devices to customers in New York, marking a major step in its American expansion.

Now one more name is taking on a quest to conquer the world’s biggest consumer market across the Atlantic, with an autonomous tech of a different kind — Estonian home robot manufacturer Schbot Robotics is taking a major step for the company and is starting exports to the United States. This was announced by the company’s CEO, Maarius Tiits.

According to him, the first Schbot devices are on their way to New York. “It’s scary at times, because every step like this is a risk and responsibility and uncertainty — but it can’t make much difference whether I send the goods to Türi or New York!” Tiits noted. For those unfamiliar with local geography, Türi is a town in Järva County, East Estonia.

“We used to work with our team on high-quality cleaning machines, and almost every time our customers said at the time of purchase that your products are mega-good, but they have one disadvantage: they do not work for me. From there, the idea was born to bring people more to their fast-paced lifestyle”, says the company’s website. Fast-forward to now, and they are setting their sights on competing in the USA.
