Estonia’s presence at Bygg Reis Deg 2025 in Norway reflects the country’s growing role as a partner in the Nordic building industry. By pairing traditional expertise with digital tools and a strong focus on sustainability, Estonian companies contribute practical answers to many of the challenges shaping construction today.

From engineered timber and modular housing to balcony systems and solar-integrated metal roofing, the focus is on low-carbon solutions that support Norway’s priorities: cutting emissions, upgrading existing buildings, and adopting resource-efficient technologies.

“Our presence reflects Estonia’s commitment to long-term engagement with the Norwegian market,” said Ryte Venckuviene, Export Adviser at Trade with Estonia.

“Estonia is Europe’s leading exporter of prefabricated timber houses and a front-runner in serial renovation — expertise that directly connects with Norway’s priorities in sustainable building and renovation.”

Norway is Estonia’s 9th largest export market, with primary exports including building, construction, and furniture products and solutions. “Estonia is Europe’s leading exporter of prefabricated timber houses and a front-runner in serial renovation — expertise that directly connects with Norway’s priorities in sustainable building and renovation. In addition, many companies bring along a digital mindset and solutions that allow for efficient building,” added Venckuviene.

“Our focus this year will be on low-carbon construction. Estonia combines clean nature with digital strength. We show how smart solutions can cut emissions and boost efficiency,” noted Venckuviene. Preparations for this year´s fair began more than a year ago. “This year, we are showcasing innovative solutions in metal, glass, façades, building-integrated solar roofing – and unique mirror houses,” she added.

Join the Trade with Estonia Happy Hour networking event on 16 October at 14:00 at Stand C03-27 for an opportunity to find your partner for future projects. Deputy Secretary General for Living Environment and Circular Economy, Ivo Jaanisoo, will share insights from his long experience in the timber sector. Piia Mathisen, the Estonian Ambassador to Norway, will also visit the stand.

In 2025, Estonia is represented at Bygg Reis Deg by a diverse group of companies showcasing different facets of sustainable construction: Arcwood (CLT and glulam structures, with expertise in large-scale and complex timber buildings), Lotus Timber (treated and profiled timber products), ÖÖD (modular mirrored houses), and Aru Grupp (stairs and prefabricated houses), alongside Malmerk Klaasium (balcony and terrace glazing systems), Adrem (metal balcony frames and railings), R-FIX (architectural glass fixing systems), and Roofit.Solar (building-integrated solar roofs and façades for challenging environments).

Adding a design dimension, three Estonian architectural firms – Creatomus, ONE Architects, and TEMPT – join the delegation to explore new opportunities for cooperation with Norwegian partners.

Estonian design powers Norway’s shift toward sustainable renovation

Adrem has been manufacturing metal balcony frames and railings for the Norwegian market for many years, serving both new buildings and – most importantly – renovation projects.

This reflects the growing importance of renovation in Norway, where upgrading existing building stock is a key strategy for reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, and preserving architectural heritage.

“At Bygg Reis Deg, we’re excited to launch a new generation of balcony systems – designed not only for residential buildings but also for high-rises, HoReCa, and projects requiring elevated safety standards.”
Henry Ristimägi, CEO of Malmerk Klaasium

Malmerk Klaasium has been delivering high-quality solutions to Norway for more than 2 decades – „Today, we combine deep engineering expertise with advanced digital tools to meet evolving market needs. At Bygg Reis Deg, we’re excited to launch a new generation of balcony systems – designed not only for residential buildings but also for high-rises, HoReCa, and projects requiring elevated safety standards. These innovations open up new possibilities for architects, builders, and developers to transform balconies into inspiring, year-round living spaces,” said Henry Ristimägi, CEO of Malmerk Klaasium.
