Worldwide interest: Tengelpung captivated buyers from all continents at MWC 2025

The Estonian company Be Secured’s brand Tengelpung recently attracted the attention of officials and cybersecurity specialists from various countries with its hack-proof safety bags, pouches, and sleeves at the international IT fair MWC held in Barcelona, Spain. The upcoming months will be busy for the company: if they secure sales agreements with all interested parties, they must produce up to a couple of thousand security pouches and bags.

Tengelpung‘s bags and pouches are unique because they protect smart devices from hacker attacks. This protection is crucial for politicians, government officials, and entrepreneurs who frequently travel, as it helps safeguard their digital devices from fraudsters.

For example, the company’s smallest product, an RFID-protected safety pouch, is designed to safeguard bank cards, ID cards, and car keys from signal thieves’ attacks. “Bank card information can be stolen using an amplified contactless payment terminal. An automatic contactless theft of funds can occur if an unprotected card comes within a 1 square meter radius of the terminal. Similarly, ID cards are also vulnerable to attack,” explained Gerri Pärson, the company’s co-founder.

“We have received feedback that both phones and computers have been attacked with viruses for information theft purposes in major cities’ airports, hotels, and conferences.”

For car keys, thieves have another device that allows them to copy the car key signal code from up to 10 meters away, which can then be used to open the car doors for stealing.

According to Pärson, phones, tablets, and laptops are also targets of attacks due to confidential information, even when the owner is not using them. “We have received feedback that both phones and computers have been attacked with viruses for information theft purposes in major cities’ airports, hotels, and conferences,” said Pärson.

Security bags protect against hackers

Tengelpung was established in 2023, inspired by leather master Taivo Tõruke’s vision to create a convenient safety pouch for storing bank cards, car keys, and, if needed, cash and coins. Over two years, this initial idea has expanded into a collection of leather cyber security bags, including safety pouches, phone cases, tablet and laptop sleeves, backpacks, and security boxes.

To safeguard against thieves, these products are crafted from a unique safety fabric that protects devices from hackers, signal thieves, magnetic storm waves, and elevated radiation levels during flights up to 10 kilometres high. It also blocks Wi-Fi, 5G, Bluetooth, GPS signals, electromagnetic radiation and offers RFID/NFC blocking.

The MWC trade fair was a success for the company. If they secures sales agreements with all interested parties, they must produce up to a couple thousand security pouches and bags in the upcoming months, said Gerri Pärson, co-founder of the company. Photo: Be Secured

The company has tested the signal leakage security of its products equipped with safety fabric in the laboratory at the Tartu Observatory. In May, the new collection will undergo comprehensive testing. Pärson stated that safety bags offer 99.9% protection against signal leakage from devices.

Pärson also described safety fabric as an effective solution for installation under wallpaper to create signal-free rooms. “In big cities, radiation levels can be excessively high. As corporate information is extremely valuable, the safety fabric is used to establish radiation-free environments in meeting rooms, server rooms, and bedrooms,” he explained.

Although Tengelpung has competitors worldwide offering products in every class in terms of price and quality, they stand out from others in terms of transparency. “Our uniqueness compared to competitors is the selection of patented components, high-quality craftsmanship, a wide range of product colours, and transparent security protection,” said Pärson.

Tengelpung received 2000 product requests

In early March, Tengelpung, along with eight Estonian companies, participated in the MWC IT fair in Barcelona, Spain, organised by Enterprise Estonia. “The fair provided an exciting opportunity for our brand to receive genuine feedback on our collection and to expand into the international market. It was our first experience on the international fair stage with a new brand,” said Pärson.

People from every continent expressed interest in the company’s products. “Among nearly 50 international contacts, 15 serious clients have requested custom-made business gifts, totalling almost 2000 items from the Tengelpung collection,” said Pärson. This will require significant work over the coming months, especially since Tengelpung´s products are handmade in Estonia.

“According to our sales plan, we have an exciting season ahead. Additionally, our goal this year is to enter the retail market in Estonia and begin expanding into the Baltic, Scandinavian, and European Union markets.”

Among those interested were executives from large companies, and politicians, such as members of the South African Parliament. Startup entrepreneurs, financial and marketing directors, a representative from a luxury car company, several mid-level managers from major telecom companies, and cybersecurity specialists were also interested. According to Pärson, Tengelpung immediately began negotiations at the fair with two USA and Australian entrepreneurs seeking to resell their products.

The next six months will require considerable effort from the company to finalise all orders. “According to our sales plan, we have an exciting season ahead. Additionally, our goal this year is to enter the retail market in Estonia and begin expanding into the Baltic, Scandinavian, and European Union markets,” said Pärson.
