On November 13, 2025, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna will officially inaugurate the new Estonian Business Hub at the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in Berlin. With this initiative, Estonia strengthens its economic and diplomatic presence in Germany and creates a new platform for technological cooperation, innovation, and export promotion.
The Berlin Hub is part of an international network of business centers established by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with Enterprise Estonia. Following successful launches in London, Paris, Riga, Washington, Seoul, and Singapore, Berlin is the newest addition to this global series.
“Germany is one of Estonia’s most important partners in Europe – economically, technologically, and politically.”

“Germany is one of Estonia’s most important partners in Europe – economically, technologically, and politically,” said Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna. “The new Business Hub in Berlin will bring companies from both countries together, foster cooperation, and demonstrate how closely innovation and diplomacy are linked today.”

Minister Tsahkna opens Estonian Business Hub: A new chapter in economic diplomacy
Estonian Ambassador to Germany Marika Linntam also sees great potential in the Berlin Hub: “We are very pleased that Minister Tsahkna will personally attend the opening. The new Hub will be a place for exchange – a space where Estonian and German companies can meet as equals, learn from each other, and develop new ideas for collaboration. We see great potential to jointly advance innovation, digitalization, and forward-looking projects.”
The Estonian Business Hub represents a new, open form of economic diplomacy. It reflects Estonia’s commitment to helping its companies become visible and build trust in international markets. When Estonian companies showcase their products or solutions in the Hub, they do so in close cooperation with the embassy – a clear signal that the Estonian state stands behind them and recognizes their potential.
Thus, the Hub becomes a place where diplomacy, innovation, and entrepreneurship come together – a venue where German partners can experience Estonia’s values of openness, quality, and digital collaboration firsthand.
The success of this concept is already evident from the Hub in Singapore: the Estonian company CryptoSwift used the embassy’s facilities during the international blockchain conference Token2049 to host an exclusive networking event with industry leaders. Co-founder Uve Poom noted that the cooperation with the embassy and the professional setting “made all the difference.”

Estonia expands innovation diplomacy in Central Europe
In the United States, the defense technology company Vegvisir gained access to key government institutions through the Washington Hub and established a North American development partnership.
“These examples show how valuable diplomatically anchored venues can be for the global competitiveness of our companies,” Linntam added. “The Berlin Hub will take on this role for Central Europe.”
