5.0 Robotics launched its first Industry 5.0 Automation Cell at GITEX 2024 in Dubai. The cell was developed in collaboration with KUKA robotic arms. It exemplifies the seamless integration of advanced mechatronics, robotics, AI, and IoT, heralding a new era in manufacturing that is accessible, flexible, and easy to use.
“Our collaboration with 5.0 Robotics marks a significant milestone in industrial robotics, utilizing KUKA robots to transform SME production. Committed to Industry 5.0 principles of human-centric, resilient, and sustainable operations, we are driving the next wave of industrial transformation”, says KUKA Country manager for Baltics Dalius Grakavinas.
As a dynamic startup established just three years ago, 5.0 Robotics has quickly become a leader in AI-driven, high-performance small-format manufacturing platforms. With over 60 units sold globally to prestigious clients, including a prominent Formula 1 team, the company is now taking a bold step forward. The new Industry 5.0 Automation Cell not only interacts seamlessly with a 6-axis robotic arm but also integrates IoT sensors to process data, training new operators in real-time and enhancing their skills.
5.0 Robotics transforms industry
The technology behind this cell is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly. Stress levels within the machinery are visually indicated through color changes, allowing operators with minimal training to interact confidently with the AI platform. This ensures a safe production environment while maximizing productivity. The AI continuously monitors and provides feedback to maintain optimum performance, making it a “make money from the second day” technology that is both affordable and accessible to SMEs.
“At 5.0 Robotics, we decided to change the narrative that only big corporations can benefit from automation and advanced manufacturing. This next generation manufacturing platform represents the democratization of smart manufacturing, enabling SMEs to produce in-house industrial grade products,” states Carlo Lustrissimi, CEO and Co-founder of 5.0 Robotics.
Manufactured entirely in Estonia, this initiative shows commitment to digital transformation and democratizing robotic manufacturing. By offering a platform that balances profit, cost, and impact, the industry 5.0 Automation Cell empowers new entrepreneurs and supports a circular economy with localized production clusters. This launch not only marks a significant milestone for 5.0 Robotics but also invites government innovation entities, investors, and industry leaders to join in transforming the manufacturing.
